Umeko Alexis Abbott Young
Umeko's grandfather Eugene Abbott met her grandmother Masako Chibana on the island of Okinawa while he was stationed there as a Marine. They were separated for a few years when Eugene was sent back to the states, but they married in 1961 and then moved back to the US. Umeko's mom, Senri, lives in Clanton, AL and works for BellSouth in Birmingham, AL. Umeko has three brothers and four sisters scattered around the southeast.
